This event was organised by Prof. S. A. Ikatkar (PO) and the team on NSS students. Principal Prof. Dr. H.V Vankure, Prof. Dr. D. A. Godse (HOD), Prof. Dr.S.R. Patil (HOD) graced the event.
A 4 hour AACCI workshop was conducted to teach students how to transition from student life in college to the life in the real world after getting the engineering degree –Issues related to family and work life, choosing a life partner and responsibilities towards aging parents etc. were discussed 100 students from all the branches of final year participated in the program. It included lectures and group discussions.
The introductory lecture and the conclusions and take home messages were delivered by Dr. Swati Bhave.
The other AACCI faculty were Dr. Veena Kundalkar, Sujata Hingne, Dr. Swati Joshi, Dr Bagyashree, Dr. Snehal Apte, Mrs Sharmila Gujar Prof. S.A.Itkarar, facilitated group discussion and guidance to students. Dr Sheetal Nayar, Dr Shilpa Yadav and Mrs Sanjivani Puranik were observer faculty.
This programme was very well appreciated by students as per the feedback forms received.
AACCI had organised a hands on training of trainer's session during the Life Skills Education workshop. This session was moderated by Dr. Swati Bhave and the participants were members of the AACCI youth wing who have been trained as Peer educators in AACCI LSE module. The peer educators were - Sourabh Mane ,leader of AACCI youth wing who is a student of MIT College of Engineering , Dr.Nikita Galani and Dr.Shejar – interns and l Dr. Arjun and Dr.Bharat Reddy postgraduate students of Dept.of Pediatrics, Dr. D Y Patil Medical College, Pune. They demonstrated through role plays and group discussions various life skills.
AACCI had organised a workshop Introduction of Life Skills Education (LSE) for all the faculty of this college.
Total 49 teachers and head of the departments were present for this workshop for all the sessions’ o f the workshop. They remaining 11 being on examination duty attended the sessions they could .Inspired by the role plays done by AACCI Faculty and Peer educators, the staff also actively also did role plays.
Since the group discussions were on topics related to real situation related to their home and work life, the group discussions were very lively. The feedback proforma showed most ratings as excellent or good. The faculty was very happy that the principal Prof Vankudre thought of organising such a program for all faculties.

AACCI Faculties were Dr.Shailaja Mane, Mrs Sujata Hinjane, Dr.Sharmila Gujar, Dr.Sheetal Nayyar and Dr.Bajeshree Deokar. AACCI trainee faculty were Dr. Sanyogita Nadkarni, Dr. Shilpa and Dr Shashi Dudhgaonkar, Dr.Jyoti Anjom and Dr.Jyoti Landge. Six peer educators from AACCI Youth wing also attended this session

Dr. Sharad Agarkhedkar, Head of Dept. of Dr. D.Y Y Patil Medical College, Pune and an advisor of AACCI was a chief guest of this function. He gave a very good address which was very much appreciated. Certificates were given by him to the faculty, peer educators and participants
A Youth Katta was conducted for first year students of the college in seminar hall. Enthusiastic students shared various views with AACCI faculties. Dr. Savita Itkarkar had organised this event under guidance of Principal, Dr. Vankudre.
Dr. Swati Bhave gave introductory lecture and facilitated this youth Katta in an open environment through interactions. Other faculty discussed important issues related to this age. 1) Dr.Shailaja Mane: Body image. 2) Dr. Sharmila Gujar: Friendship 3) Dr. Sanyogita Nadkarni: Romantic relationship.
About 145 students actively participated in this youth Katta. Out of them 50 students have signed up for training

A free oral health check-up was arranged for students of this college. A team from Aundh District Hospital were invited to do the oral health check –up.
Principal Prof. Dr. H.V.Vanakudre felicitated the denists Dr Ankush Agrawal and Dr Rahul Manigar.
About 450+ students benefited from this camp. It helped to create awareness about their dental and oral health problems and also taught them the importance of prevention
The students were very satisfied from this checkup.

A seminar on "Adolescent Reproductive Sexual Health" was organized in this college by Aundh Dist. Hospital, Pune . About 160 students participated
Mrs. Anita Waghchawre and Mrs. Kanchan Sawant from Aundh Dist. hospital delivered the talk on Anemia, sexually transmitted diseases etc. Importance of maintaining good Reproductive health, and importance of sexual health etc were taught to the girls Tablets of iron and folic acid which is essential for girls were distributed to all the students.
AACCI also participated and Dr.Shailaja Mane explained in detail about Nutrition in adolescents.

NSS unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering for Women had organized a Special Camp at from 27 December 2017 to 2 January 2018.The program was inaugurated by sarpanch of Shriramnagar Manisha Nawadkar and upa-sarpanch Rupali Khude in presence of Program Officer Prof.Savita Itkarkar
A seminar on Manswasthya Vyakhyan was organized on in Asmitabhavan where faculty from AACCI - Dr.Snehal Apte guided on how to overcome mental issues faced by the youth. She told students various ways to keep themselves mentally healthy like meditation and positive thinking etc. About 80 students enjoyed and benefited by this seminar. AACCI Team had a meeting with the team of BVCOEW - Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering for Women which is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.
In BVCOEW team Principal Dr. Harish Vankudre, NSS coordinator Prof. Savita Ikarkar and NSS youth leaders Vidya, Ragini and Pratiksha were present.
In AACCI Team Executive Director Dr. Swati Y. Bhave, Pune coordinator Dr. Shailaja Mane, and Pune core faculty Sujata Hingne were present.
It was decided to sign an MOU for AACCI working with BVCOEW for "holistic wellbeing of all the girl students" with help of training peer educators from NSS and Master Trainers from the staff of the college.
The intervention will begin in this academic year from Dec 2017 for two to four years and impact evaluation will be done. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Harish Vankudre also felicitated Dr. Swati Y. Bhave for the various awards received for her dedicated work.
Dr Swati Y Bhave was invited as Chief Guest for NSS day celebration during NSS week. Principal Prof.Dr.H.V.Vankudre, NSS Program Officer Prof.S.A.Itkarkar, staff members and Alumni were present. Total 130 NSS Volunteers participated in the celebration.
The event started with the Ganesh Vandana by NSS volunteers Kalyani, Vaishnavi and Kirti, followed by opening address of Principal. The Principal felicitated all the guests with handmade Flower vase made by NSS volunteers. Dr Swati Bhave gave a guest lecture on Common problems of girls leaving home and coming to a city for higher education. Dr Shailaja Mane spoke on Importance of Healthy nutrition in young women. The NSS song was presented by NSS Volunteers guided by Ragini and Rutuja. NSS Volunteers enjoyed this event along with the refreshments. This program was a great success and interactive session was very much appreciated. AACCI has been invited to do further programs in this college.
